Painters cutting in trim and doors during an interior repaint

What we paint inside.

Most interior jobs are a mix of surfaces, and each one needs a different product and a different hand. Ceilings get a flat finish that hides joints and patches. Trim and doors get a harder enamel that stands up to hands and vacuum cleaners. Kitchens and baths get finishes that can be wiped down.

How an interior job runs.

Most of the time on an interior job goes into what happens before the finish coat.

  1. ProtectFloors papered, furniture moved and covered, outlets and hardware masked.
  2. RepairNail pops, cracks and dents filled; damaged plaster or sheetrock fixed properly.
  3. Sand and primePatches sanded flat and spot-primed so they don't show through.
  4. Cut inEdges at ceilings, trim and corners brushed by hand.
  5. Finish coatsWalls rolled, trim brushed or sprayed depending on the surface.
  6. WalkthroughWe walk the rooms with you and touch up before we pack up.

See the color in your own light.

A chip under store lights can look completely different on your wall at four in the afternoon. We can brush larger samples onto the wall so you can live with them for a day or two before you decide.

Dark colors like navy, charcoal and deep green need more coats and more care at the edges. We'll tell you up front what a color will take.

Interior Painting questions.

Something else on your mind? Call (508) 410-0974.

Do I need to move my furniture?

Clear small items, valuables and anything fragile. We move and cover the furniture we need to work around and paper the floors before we start.

Can you paint kitchen cabinets?

Yes. Doors and drawer fronts are cleaned, sanded and primed with a product that bonds to the old finish before any color goes on. Ask about it when we come out to look.

Do you work in occupied homes and offices?

Most of our interior work is in spaces people are living or working in. We plan the order of rooms with you, and offices can be scheduled after hours.

What happens with cracks and holes?

They're fixed as part of the prep. Small cracks and nail pops are filled and sanded; larger damage to plaster or sheetrock is repaired by our own crew before painting.
